Where is this beach?

If i din tell you,, you wouldnt know it is in Johor.

Stupid moron gahmen, so much potential but all wasted.

If you drive along the coast, you could see abandoned white elephants of huge resorts. All collapse by corruption under the arms of local authorities.

Desaru was much hyped in the 80s with quite a few mega projects aimed at attracting foreign investment and visitors, which have since been abandoned. Today, the 25km long beach resort destination is strictly a local affair with the occasional Singaporeans thrown in.

Recently it has become popular with tourists wishing to see a true Malay resort without for-tourists frills. During off-monsoon seasons, the waters here are inviting and the sand fine. Tanjung Balau, a beach just off Desaru, is especially popular with campers and also the site of a Fishermen's Museum.

Desaru is a beach popular mostly with the locals. As such, you will see a lot of Malays bathing with long pants and t-shirts on them. Is both a good way to fend the sun and to keep their modesty. It is recommended that you do not wear a topless attire or an over-revealing swimming suit, as it may offend the locals. They most likely will not tell you anything against this, but they will not enjoy it. A normal bikini for girls and shorts for guys is ok.

Two weeks later, on 29 May 2008, the Empress and her ministers tagged along.
Fist thing she said when we reached the beach was, " SO Far!!!.. drive for one and half hour, give me free stay here also i dun wan"....... he he... ( boey tahan)

Anyway.. after we got to beach and Uncle Ah Pau managed to find 'La La' in the beach sand, all were forgotten.
